Victoria is a teacher, a trustee, and a champion for public education.

​

She has over a decade of experience in teaching and the students are the priority in all of her advocacy efforts. She initially ran for the Santa Clara County Board of Education in 2020, at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to get educator voice onto school boards and to represent the rights of students and educators. 

​

While on the Board of Education, she has tirelessly worked to represent educators, supporting underrepresented communities, and lifting up student voices. 

​

Victoria is also the president of her teachers' union, where she spends every day fighting for the working conditions of educators and student learning environments. 

​

Her experience comes directly from the classroom and the work is just beginning. The foundation for educational advancement is rooted in working together for a common goal – investing and improving the teaching and learning environments. Our students need our help to prepare for their future. We can continue to progress if we work together.
